Battlefield 1 has been a massive success for EA and Dice, though many players never actually purchased the Premium Pass or any of the DLC packs. Luckily for us, EA has decided to make the first DLC, They Shall Not Pass free for all players.
All of the DLC’s maps, weapons and classes are now available for all Battlefield 1 players, which will be a nice change for those who have been stuck with the base game since its release at the end of 2016.
Getting the expansion is super easy, simply log into Origin, navigate to the Origin Store and search for They Shall Not Pass, then click on Add To Library. After it downloads, you can play as the French army and you can finally get your hands on some new weaponry.
The Rupture map has been playable for some time, however this expansion will allow you to play some of the other great maps from this DLC. Verdun Heights, Fort De Vaux and Soissons maps will all become available to you, as well as the French Elite Class, the Trench Raider class.
June will see the last big update for the game as the next Battlefield game is already in the works and will be released in the near future. The June update will add Shock Operations, which is a 40 vs 40 player variant of the awesome Operations game mode. The new sector capture game mode will be coming to the following maps in June; Giant’s Shadow, Prise de Tahure, Lukow Pass, Zeebrugge and River Somme. And even better news for those of you who own the base game, all of these maps will be playable in this game mode.
